Jennifer Schlechty Director of Technology
I have a passion for using technology to bring people together—to share ideas, to communicate. I'm passionate about the world as a grand society and for opening the opportunity for a brighter future with each generation. Now that I have a son in school, I'm even more interested in school transformation. Here at the Center, I'm indirectly touching the lives of students all over the country through the hands of truly dedicated teachers, principals, superintendents, central office staff, board members, and countless others who, like me, want for our children a deep sense of joy in understanding.
I like to describe my role at the center as, "If it beeps, it's my problem." On a daily basis I maintain devices like computers, phones, and projectors; support the staff in using those devices and software; implement and guide the use of online tools like message boards; and endeavor to drive us into the future with RSS feeds, podcasts, and other yet-to-be-determined technologies. It is my hope that if I can provide our associates—and, indirectly, through them, our clients—with positive experiences using technology, they'll come to embrace its power to tranform the entire way we "do" school in this country.
