Vanessa Pfeiffer Assistant to Controller
It was by happy coincidence that I came to work at the Schlechty Center; I needed a part-time job and the Center needed part-time help. I had no idea that I was about to join a group as remarkable as this one. I am excited to work for an organization trying to make a difference, one that cares about the education of our nation's children. I am the daughter of a retired English teacher and even went to college to become a teacher. My life's path took a different turn, but I am so thrilled to be working with a group focused on the right things.
For several years I worked in management and administrative roles. My work at the Schlechty Center involves accounts payable and receivables and billing. I have some interaction with clients in the area of billing, and my work before I came to the Schlechty Center allowed me to gain experience in customer service and bookkeeping. In my work with clients, my goal is to provide them with the best possible experience with the Schlechty Center; I consider each conversation an opportunity to showcase the Center's high standards.
