Marilyn Hohmann Principals Academy (Naples, FL) 07.12.09 - 07.16.09
The Principals Academy provides participants with a deep understanding of fundamental concepts such as the nature of engagement, the core business of school, and marketing change. Principals will develop a personal plan for leadership, exploring the role of the principal and including appropriate strategies for causing and sustaining change. Academy members have continuing opportunities to share and learn with principals who are serious about student and staff engagement. Membership also provides participants with tools, resources, and materials that can be used throughout their career.
What will participants learn?
Participants will learn how to begin thinking as a leader of leaders committed to creating engagement-centered schools, gain clarity about who they are as leaders through the articulation of a personal leadership plan, and experience the Schlechty Center’s Coaching for Design process.
What will participants produce?
Participants will leave with a leadership plan that includes a personal vision statement and supportive actions to guide future work and allocation of resources.
Who is the intended audience?
This academy is open to principals and assistant principals interested in creating engagement-centered schools.
The conference will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and will conclude at noon on Thursday.
Registration Fee: $1,700 per participant. This price includes materials and conference meals.
Standard-Bearer School District: $1,400 per participant. This price includes materials and conference meals. Active Standard-Bearer School Districts have an option to use units to pay registration fees. The registration price is one unit plus $200 per participant for conference expenses. Tier 1 and Tier 2 districts do not pay the $200 fee.
