Since 1997, the Schlechty Center has been working to support reform-minded superintendents. Begun with funding from the former BellSouth Foundation, this network was originally designed to link superintendents in the Southeast and address. The Superintendents Leadership Network (SLN) is currently funded by Cisco and has expanded to include superintendents across the nation who have demonstrated a commitment to reform. Members of this network agree that leadership takes courage and commitment to providing student with high-content engaging work.
